Default Exhaust I made for a friends turbo civic.

Pics.. weee..

This was a neat project for me, I love tig welding.

The problem was that the stainless material he got with the "kit" was .045 wall, which is very thin. I had a lot of trouble starting a puddle without burning through, and without any foot or thumb control I had to have another buddy turn the machine up and down when I yelled at them. LOL...

He also wanted to retain A/C so there are some nice tight bends. We used the pie cut formulas from this forum. Not too many intricate segmented cuts though.

I wish it was .065 wall tubing or something other than the cheap ---- he got, but whateva. It is a Vecco turbo kit. Miller TIG machine, 115v. Arc start . Boo, I want a new 3000$ machine.

I will get pics off the car, as we are not done yet. He's still waiting on a D16 intake manifold, and injectors before he can run any boost. Anyone have a D16 intake manifold that the TB is on the pass side of the engine. I know nothing of hondas..

Yes, he has a Y7, and his TB is smack dab in the middle behind the motor, so the IC pipes do not meet up.

Does anyone know if the Z6 manifold will fit the Y7 head? It is a 98 Civic 1.6L D16Y7 (or V7) I forgot.
