dsm injector install...

im wondering if someone can tell me the part number for the bottom seals that i would use for the dsm injectors. im putting them in a 95 gsr motor. either the part number for honda/acura or napa, i just want to make sure that i get the correct part. thanks for the help.

I don't have a part number. Just use a dremel tool with sanding strips and enlargen the ones you have. You will have to do the same wih the new ones you buy from a parts strore.

Re: dsm injector install...

yea i was thinking the same thing...but they have different heights. so what i was thinking that i would get two sets and take to pieces and trim to fit to make them the same height as the ones they used on the write up. i already started on making the hole bigger, but in my case it was harder than it looked. how high of an rpm setting should my dremel be set at for a job lke this? i gotten pretty frustrated with this being that it is the only thing besides the tuning that i have to finish on my turbo setup. thanks for your time so far.

seriously,

put dremel in the hole whizz it round for a couple of seconds, job done

have a nice tight fit, some people dont even bother dremelling the holes out they just put a blob of oil in the holes and tighten the fuel rail onto them

I didnt even have to use a dremel, took me 30 seconds to squeeze them into the stockers

Re: dsm injector install...

i used some from an ls intake, they are kinda longer than the gsr so they fit over the injectors all the way. oh, and the dremel is your friend :)

Re: dsm injector install...

got them done today...just one step closer to finishing my project. i ended up using the dremel, just a bit of oil to keep it moving smoothly and that was it. tried to force them but my thumb got tired after the second one.

Why force when you can get them in so much more easily.

If you have trouble using the black rubber ones, freeze them first and alternate b/n seals as you bore em out.

Re: dsm injector install...

yea boring them out is the best way...i just put a little oil on the seal to be bored, placed it in my extra manifold and put the dremel in with the lowest rpm setting and eased it in...oiled the seal when it needed it. after the install i checked for leaks, not a one. thanks again for all the help

Re: dsm injector install...

My seals were rubbery and smoked like a bitch when i dremel'd them.

Re: dsm injector install...

I dremeled my seals the other day. no oil used. just take your time and its a simple 5 minute job. Injectors fit perfect too.
