I am wondering if i can use a dohc zc exhaust manifold and switch the downpipe around and welding it up to be a top mount? I am putting it on a z6 motor but that shouldn't be a problem because the zc ports are larger than the d series ports though it does bolt up fine. I am just wondering if the cast manifold will hold up to the heat. Also i need to know if anyone has welded up a stock exhaust manifold other than the hf one.

Also once it is welded up i would just get a t3 flange welded to it and a custom downpipe. Thanks and hope to hear some good news

 

my opinion buy a ebay cast manifold.. cheap and proven over 400 whp, or you can do a sinktrap set up yes. kindda harder i would think

some ppl call it sinktrap cause it looks like a sinktrap the u bend (damn go look under your sink lol) but yes you can add a pice of tube like a U from the stock mani then u. if thats not what you mean then are you trying to turn the mani around :% idk

no thats wat i mean haha i have just heard the ebay casts are restrictive and i dont really like the wastegate placement on them as it looks like it would be a good oppurtunity for boost creep?
