DIY strut bar
has any one made their own strut bars or lower tie bars. i want to make my own but i cant find any dimentions to copy. thanks

its just a damn bar.... get some square tube, measure, cut... add some holes... maybe weld some sweet brackets....

Get one off of eBay for like $20 shipped and copy the design to make a stronger one. :P

I made my own Rear Lower, and two Pillar bars for my chassis. Pillar bars are loadable, Lower tie bar is solid. My chasiis is hella stiff. When jacking on one corner of the car it basically lifts level, nt like the classic one tire on the ground, 1 tire off.

I had a buddy who just welded a peice of steel between the 2 rear strut towers. there was a noticalbe difference

i made solid front and rear strut tower bars on my 85' 300ZX, and a sweet adjustable front strut tower bar for my 1G eclipse. both cars have improved about 50% from stock stiffness. a huge difference. :y

i just chopped my showerbar in half and ran wire through it for powering the neon lights that go through it. its maddd jdm style. now my car pulls 1 gees on da skidpad.......pimpin
