clever

lets the one scroll operaton run better because of the slant instead of it just being blocked off. i still wonder what the clearances were on his setup. might just eyeball it and go from there. can't leak enough to cause a problem

Where is a good cheap source for the boost actuator?

Only problem is you got to have that extra room to fit it. In our maximas we got plenty of room when turbo is placed over the tranny. Even with a giant turbo

This reminds me of those variable geometry intake plenums. I bet you could use one of those actuators for it.

Here is a picture of it on the outside:

The inside is almost like ITBs except it switches between 2 sets of runners. 1 long runner set for more torque down low, 1 short runner for more HP up high.

Toyota call is ACIS but I have seen it on several different cars. Daewoo 1.6, Ford modular 32v, and some other ---- I'm sure has it. When vacuum reaches some point the valve opens and whoa-la you have a short runner intake manifold.

Toysrme should recognize this

Good thing SP have dropped the price to 499, though still expensive for what it is.
