That's the unit I'm using, LSD Uses for plasma cutting and who knows what else.

ummm for a couple hundred more you can get a Miller.

I have used one for almost a year for coutless projects. It hasn't failed me yet. Just dont use the crappy tubing it comes with to hook up your gas. Just get some fuel line.

couple hundred more? Like what? This is worth the money just for the plasma cutter portion.

I agree with CS on this! I have had mine for a few months, Yes I would like to Upgrade and probably will soon. BUt if I was using this for is myself and not actually making product with it, It would be all I need.

I you are a Garage welder want to mae some things for yourself and close friends, It is all you'll need!!!!!

i made a few bazillion dollars with my smiley . and it has a high resale value hahaha

no dave it cant.

they do offer a a/c d/c version but its like 900 dollars, and for 2 hundred more you can get a nice used miler.

yea but you dont get the plasma. Shitty thing with welding is all the little extras you have to pay for along with the machine. Its really not to bad, but when your doing a lot of production you need a few tanks, quite a bit of tungsten, filler etc. We have a smiley here that we soley use for plasma cutting so i cant speak about its tig abilities. For the $, it hasnt failed us yet and im sure it would do just fine as a tig.
