Re: D-series sidemount turbo mani
how had was this to make? and what about it running behind the rad like that? i would expect some slight heating of the rad as well... but since its such a distance to the turbo, there is slight heat lost correct?

Re: D-series sidemount turbo mani
Obviously the more piping there is, the more surface area there is for heat transfer out of the manifold. Would I care? No.

Mmmmm side winder mani FTW
A guy around here has a 13sec 92 Accord that has a sexy homemade mani like that. |
Re: D-series sidemount turbo mani
Looks good, you should get a ebay slim fan there cheap and just up put it in front of the rad.

I'm wondering...couldn't you just make a log manifold do this? That would be killer - an elbow on #1, tee's on #2-4, then a normal pipe over to the elbow above the turbo. I may try this later, I have a car that's sitting the winter out, 1337 MIG skillz, a d-series flange and access to Homeboy Depot fittings.
Omg that is such a good idea, thanks! :D BTW I'm assuming that is an EG, what radiator inlet/outlet hoses are those from? |
