cutting out wholes
 
what u guys use to cut out 2.5 inch holes out of a pipe or flat steel plate. i was thinking of a whole saw but couldn't find any for metal, is there a web site u guys get ur ---- from.

u have a Sears local, or a home depot/lowes? ive bought them their before.

Plasma or a holes saw. You're gonna go through teeth fast if you don't use a drill press.

i am using a drill press, i would use my plasma cutter, but it too damn hard to make a perfectly round hole.

Turn slowly and keep the part and the hole saw cool. If you do those two things, you should get 15+ holes cut from each saw...and that's even with stainless.

Try submerging your part in water while drilling it, or put the garden hose next to it so that you're flushing the area and saw with water.

Cooling is more important than lubricating. Forget a few drops of oil or lube...use shitloads of water and it will work better.
