i was told you can cut left to right with the tubes but NOT top to bottom, correct? you can with a steel like radiator (ive done it befor) but not with aluminum

Well, i gave up on the idea since u can't cut the core. Thanks guys

Yeah you can cut between the tubes to make a side to side flowing core shorter, but you can not cut the tubes themselves without trouble.
