Well, I didn't do it, but my design and specs were used. It's for my bro.

On the left is the original, right is the new hotness:

I was going to have of the originals welded together, but it would have been nearly impossible to do so and it not leak/seal worth a flip. So, we happen to have a CNC machine in the back and I spec'd it out for the guy and he made it.

I'm happy w/it. never had something this nice made before.

Yeah, tough croud here. This ain't PrestigiousMadeTurbo.com You'd get more positive feedback if you JB Welded 3 of the thin ones together. But cool if you had access to a CNC and can write your own code. Wish I had a CNC mill. But I got a 14x60 Gearhead Clausing. :)

I'm learning this. I figured as long as it was custom fabbed, it would be ok. HMT n00b here. Next time I do something, it'll be really ugly and have a more "home-made" look to it.

:P

I needed to lower my drain line down a little bit for it to line up with my fitting on the pan :y

Re: Custom CNC'd a turbo oil drain adapter! Very cool.

dude, you want the drain on your turbo as high as possible compared to the fitting on your pan.

so lowering it to line up with the fitting.

yeah, fail

---- you should see some of my ghetto drain flanges. square plate steel + jb weld. The last one was decent i cut the end off so i just had the threaded aluminum part and welded it to some aluminum plate since the h1c bolt spacing is wider than standard t3.

it is not about being ugly it is about being creative and knowing how to get ---- done. your getting flamed because it was pointless to show us some stupid ---- that you had made for you in a fabrication forum. me jb welding a return line would have more fabrication than this

Re: Custom CNC'd a turbo oil drain adapter! Very cool.

werd. very well said. this is a fabrication forum, you fabricated nothing. you took something you bought and had someone else copy it onto thicker stock.

I could have made a piece that looked just as nice with a drill and hand tools. ----, it would have functioned better too because I would have recessed the bolt holes and threaded the drain port for the line.

Hand tools biatch. That's homemade. If you involve your neighbors CNC and want it to be called 'homemade' you better be machining something sweet, like a new compressor housing or something.

I dont under stand what thats supposed to do. It doesn't have any threads, its just like a flange with nothing on it.
