comments on hm blockguard
After a lot of research ,came up with an idea,
I wanted to make my block stronger,for my turbo setup, Tryed a blockguard,but broke that one in pieses,deu to bad shape and wrong way of fitting it, I saw people who used bolds threw the block to secure the cillinders,but that would give (in my opinion)to much surface stress deu to small contact surface. So i came up with this, I took a thick wall pipe,and cut it in to pieses of 5 centimeter,the almost fit between cill and block,because its thick wall pipe,i can grind it tho the right size for a snug tight fit,and than glue it with 2 component at place. well those really arent the stress points on the sleeves... dont really see it helping to much...

thats not going to work how you think it is because its only supporting the outer parts of the sleeve... if you noticed with your last block guard it supports the whole diameter of the sleeve to help distorting of the cylinder wall what you have done is create a distortion point when the sleeves heat up and it will either crack or warp the sleeve on the outer edges where your bracing is.

I know it will not strengthen the cillinder walls,that was'nt the plan,
I want to prevent ,that the cillinders will move during distress,and than killing my head gasget. |

Combined with block posts, it may actually work well.

You need to have the entire cylinder braced as noted before, but ---- try it and tell us what happens... make sure your coolant can move "across" the rods.

I would also be worried about the metal expanding at different rates and that causing some amount of distortion.
