clamping a resonator?
 
ya i cant weld so, has anyone clamped in a cherry bomb as a resonator? the metal seems hard at the ends like it wont work good, dont want it to leak and stink

i did....i had to go and pick it up off the ground also....but put it back on and all was good

use a stepped 2 bolt bang clamp. Goo it up with copper RTV. summit/jegs has them

HD muffler clamp and a 9/16" 1/2" drive impact socket, it will clamp amd not leak.........

rednecks have been doing it for decades.

i was running one clamped. it was fine. it didnt break loose until we were towing it back from the track and had a couple jerks down hill to jar a few things loose. just crank the clamps tight.

i got $2 muffler clamps and muffler pipe sealer stuff. or i can pay $30 to have a shop weld it in.. thinking im gona cheap out on this one
