Charge piping

Well I've spent a couple days making my charge piping from scratch, not at all 2 days of work, just worked on it 2 seperate times for a couple hours. There are 2 welds that are pretty much invisible afer I ground them down a bit, but you will see how the bottom 2 welds look really sloppy, thats because after I welded them I decided to throw some JB weld all over them so I have even more peace of mind that they never leak, I dont want to have to pull my bumper off ever again. When its on the car you cant see them at all so its all good.

Its all made out of 2.5" mandrel bends from Summit Racing, the other side is almost done, just waiting for a good turbo damnit...then I can finish it..

All of the welds that cant be seen when the car is put back together I covered in jb weld, just some insurrance (they are welded with a HF mig)

good job dude, looks good. are you gonna run a bead around the lip? so it can't pop of as easily. i jus did mine as well and it seems to be holding up great, i put jbweld over all the welds jus to be on thes afe side, looks are important but efficiency and purpose are more important. gj man

I've thought about the bead idea, I'll probably sand a bit of paint off and do a nice little bead. I just need my turbo to get here more than anything. Thanks!

Indeed, how much do home cheapo couplers cost anyways? All the piping/ kits ive ever done, never had a problem when using t bolt clamps and tightening down as much as you can go. I guess a beed wouldnt hurt at all though and would be added piece of mind.

I think the couplers cost about $4 each including hose clamps. Sell me a set of couplers/tbolts and gimme a good deal! hehe

good couplings are your friend.. home depot couplings are like 4.20 with tax and that ---- adds up after awhile ;). i spent most of the day at the track under my car putting backup home depot coupling on my pipping.. havnt had any worries after i spent the extra for good ones.. keep up the good work ::thumbsup::
