a cast iron adaptor plate??
so i have a HF manni and a T25 turbo, and for some reason its just not sealing too good with just the bolts holding it everything together, so i thought i could some how find 3/4 in thick plate of cast iron and just weld the bastards together instead of just using bolts
how does that sound
or would i be better of just trying the hi temp sealant that i've heard will just melt and creat a good seal between the adaptor plate and the manni and the turbo??

I tried welding an old steel adapter to a cast hf manifold, and trust me...don't even bother. Even with an arc welder with some heavy duty rods the welds still broke and leaked like crazy, not to mention warped the turbo mounting surface from the heat. Try doubling the gaskets if you have to.
