Default CANCER!!?@?!@?!@! and Welding safety

I知 a noob when it comes to welding so I知 just wondering if you guys can give me some safety welding tips ? Like at Harbor Freight they got like a whole leather sleeve thing and leather apron and stuff should I invest in that? I heard u can get like a tan or even skin cancer due to exposure to the welding sparks. I definitely wanna get that cool looking auto-darkening helmet but anything else I need? Full leather suit??

you could get cancer from eating sand... whats new? You'll die one day might as well die doing something you enjoy!

You should get the full coat, gloves, autodark helmet, wear sunglasses underneath anyway. Be sure your helmet has a back on it.

I agree with long sleeves and a helmet, that should be enough. Gloves are also good sometimes.
