not really hating... but I certainly hope he goes back and fixes that shock tower... if thats a dedicated drag car I got a feeling it won't pass tech. If it does with that kind of weak suspension mounting point than I would be concerned for his safety and the safety of the other guy racing next to him.

I know in the earlier pic the brace looks like it's welded on the edge of the tube. Here is a better pic of the shock tower.

It looks fine to me but again I'm not a race car fabricator and like CRXDrew said "it has to pass tech"

It looks fine to me also (disclaimer down below). It's pretty easy to judge a design that some one else did. But if it works use it!!! BMW drag car, sure why not, drag racing is all about horsepower and traction.

It all depends on material used, welding, amount of force+time and etc

The car and the downpipe both look good man. It is definately nice to see something new, the car can definately stand to be a little stronger, but hey you still have time so its no big deal. I didnt get any very clear shots of the downpipe in the wheel well, but make sure that downpie has at least 3 - 4" of clearance from the tire when the tire is as high or as far back in the wheel well as it will travel.

Sweet..... You cut up a u-bend, and laid down 4 welds. Would you like a cookie?

Thanks......I already had the cookie. Interesting though, but isn't that what most of us (fabricators) do. We take 90* bends, U-bends, J-bends, straight tubing, cut them up shape them into our own work of art and design, then we get manifolds like Full-race, Love-Fab, etc. and pay a small mortgage for them. It's the effort you guys should applaud and remember all the top guys in this industry started form the bottom. No one is born a professional. We learn as we grow and are able to provide a vital service to the less skilled............just my $.02

Well, I'll delete my post the day I buy a manifold from you for a "small mortgage". I'm a part time fabricator at the shop I work at, and take tons of pride in my work, even the smallest things. But incase you havn't figured it out already, no one else really is going to except for you. You made a DP, and your proud of it. Good for you. You don't need to tell the world. Gay people are proud of it, and guess what? no one cares. Same situation

I'm not asking anyone to buy anything from me and of course I take pride in my work but more importantly, I was showing the car as it was something different. So I take it you don't show pics of your work? Yeah OK!
