Anyone fabricate their own control arms?
Heim joints, yada yada? I'd like to see some designs. I'm thinking about making some for my old *** 3rd gen prelude since the upper arm bushings wear out and you have to buy the whole damn arm since they don't sell the bushings separately.
Yes I have built suspension pieces. Make sure they are right, strong, and can last forever. No short cuts and don't buy cheap rodends. Send your welds out to get checked, after you are done. If you kill someone trying to save money then you are just stupid.

Read the original post, ****. Heath's a reasonably intelligent guy and as such I'm sure he knows what is available for his car.
Heath, Paul @ Sronce can machine the nylon if you get a chunk of it. If you have spare control arms and some nylon stock I can probably get him to make it so but it'll be a wait of a month or so; he's so swamped right now he's turning away work.

you could also have a poly bushing poured...a company like daystar can take your measurements, and pour any hardness poly bushings. I don't know if they'd go to the trouble of making the mold for you though.
