anybody have a slip roll?

I'm trying to make some transition cones but I'm stuck on how to bend the 16 gauge sheet metal once the pattern is cut out.
I was looking at one of those HF slip rolls, but they are rated at 20 gauge, and the 16 gauge ones are really expensive.
I was wondering if you took it slow, if the HF one would work or if it would break apart the minute you put in some 16ga. sheet.
Any other ideas on how I could bend a cone after the pattern is cut?

Build a wooden buck and screw the sheetmetal to it.

not sure what you are doing but i am assuming some sort of transition from 3inch tubing to 2 inch or something along those lines.? easy way, take your 3 inch and cut a strip out of the pipe lengthwise that looks like a narrow pizza slice, make sure the cuts are strait, then take like 5 hose clamps and start clamping down untill the slit starts pulling together then tack the tube in a few places and then remove the clamps and finish the welding.

Yeah, trying to do transitions.
I may end up doing pizza slice cut, but doing that makes the ends messed up.
I'm gonna order one of those small slip rolls and see if it can be reinforced to do 16 gauge and then take my time doing a few practice shots at it.

it doesn't mess up the ends, just cut them strait after welding
