Default is this any good?

im looking for something simple right now... i live in an apartment so i need something i can work on the patio with just to do intercooler piping, maybe a log manifold here and there, and exhaust piping.

in the product specs it says flux/mig so im guessing it has a gas hookup so that would be cool later on

is this welder ok or is there another one that might be better/cheaper?

That's a good little machine. Great for what you want to do.

most apt's only have 15amp fuse's so Id check that out first because u might not be able to run a welder there

im gonna ask about the power in the apt then if its ok i'll pick the welder up on my way home... andthing else i should get besides a mask and somemore wire so i can start learning... i read on here that its possible to use foil around the pipes to protect them from splatter so i dont have to use the anti splatter spray/gel, is that true?

do you guys have any tips for me to get started the first thing i want is to redue my exhaust setup

That's similar to the one Austin and I use, except he has the Hobart 135 and we use gas. Works real well though. It's what he used for his ramhorn manifold.

BTW, are you making something for a 4g64??
