Another Rate My welds thread...

So I've been working at my new job for about 2 months now, and I finally laid down a weld today I'm pretty satisfied with...
Welded on 7/8" thick steel(beveled of course) w/ .045 wire, 28.7 volts/415 wire speed. This is the root pass, and then a dual-feed ac-dc robotic Sub-Arc machine over it.

edit: I weld these things for DMI Industries in West Fargo, ND.

Welding isn't the MOST critical part of my job, I run a computerized plate roller that can roll up to 2" 75'x15' sheets. It costs around 850,000 dollars and costs approximatly 25,000 dollars per day to operate... And I only get paid a mealy 14 dollars per hours ::)
this is my bitch, aka the DAVI roller

If you like the job. Stick with it and it'll be worth it in the end if they have nice raises. I get paid a bit more than you do and i like my job and the raises are awesome!! And they got a union too. ;D

Word, I love not being unionized at my work. I work hard, and at my previous job, the guy next to me stuck his thumb up his ass all night and got paid more than me cuz he'd been there longer... 14 was a starting wage, I should be getting atleast a 2 dollar raise at my 60 day review(a week away). Also, this company is owned by Ottertail Power company(big name around here) so we get awesome benefits, and at our quartly meeting yesterday, they gave away 3 2000 dollar gift certificates to best buy and scheels, and they are planning to give a away a 4 wheeler, jet ski, snowmobile and a kawasaki ranger at the christmas party... I want the ranger really bad ;D I will be staying here for as long as possible.
