Another German project...996TT/GT2 Upgrade ..
11 Attachment(s)
Goal was to develop a system that retained as much of the factory parts as possible while using a readily available turbocharger. Twin GT2860RS were used along with Tial 44mm wastegates. An adapter was machined from the standard garrett 4 bolt housing to the OEM flanged exhaust as most don't want to ditch or mod there $3000+ exhaust systems. Machining adapaters now to retain all OEM oil lines and Sump setup. This setup works with factory intakes and boost pipes :) FWIW Evolution motorsports get $25K + for there gt28rs upgrade kit and uses "gasp" made in tawain ssautochrome style headers :l
I realize this isn't exactly homemadeturbo.com stuff...but were just some young guys that love working on honda's and were very excited when given this opportunity to do Porsche work. Every part was fabricated and machined inhouse in the 3 days we had to finish the car... Nice. Any chance of a turbo kit for the MOD engines? Why did you bother to keep the turbo sump(s)?
What kind of boost is it seeing? Your planning on selling this as a kit? |
