aliminum exhaust system

Helo everybody!

Im thinking to make my car exhaust system ( from middle of car to back ) include back box with aluminium... Do you think its a gud idea? The idea behind is to lessen weight and some people told me alluminum box sound greater than stainless steel....?

Plz give your opinion!

Thanx

well in my opinion, aluminum catback systems can run you a lot of $$.
it's all custom and light weight. if you have the supplies/tools then you're good.
but i'd recommend a custom mandrel bend exhaust from your local muffler shop.

just about all "local" muffler shops have a standard compression bender, not a mandrel bender...unlike us...we have 3 mandrel benders & a standard bender for stock type exhausts

& on top of things, typical crush benders use 14g tubing, which is very heavy, most mandrel benders use 16g
