Zeitronix ZT-2 Wideband O2

Ok I know that Jeff's got one and some other people have this Zeitronix unit as well. I'm about to buy myself one but need to know what your opinions or experience with it--in terms of how easy it is to use and how it compares with the other wideband O2 for example innovative and PLX and the DIY-WO2 units.

I am just looking for something that I can hook it up to my extra O2 bung and then hook it up to my laptop and do some datalogging. I'm curious to know what info the ZT-2 unit will give me besides the A/F reading. I'm assuming it gives me RPM readings...? I'm spefically talking about the $279 unit and not the more expensive unit with the display.

teh post below this one says that the datalog streams are gay, heavily encypted, and you can't really view em with anything except their software...go PLX or techedge man

bah bullshit.. just ask dave and dustin (the both have plx) and compare it to my Zeitronix. It's hands down a way better unit. The datalogging feature comes with the 279.00 its so freaking easy. Mine is setup to plug in my cig lighter, and I just T off the neg side of the coil for my RPM, and I like to grab the TPS wire too. Whats cool it has options for Boost/EGT but you have to buy their expensive sensors to use it.

I paid retail for this, and I'm not just feeding bs here, its pretty badass dude.

I agree. As long as it has both a NB 0-1v out and a WB 0-5v out, its the ----. The datalogging is solid. Being able to DL tune non Honda ECU & carbed cars is a big plus.
For Hondas, an ECU map trace would walk all over its DL capabilities though :P

In a nut shell, I would have purched this over the PLX. Too bad the display adds mucho $$$ to the price.

I like my LM-1...it's hideously ugly, but it datalogs nicely now and is the only fully digital WB on the market right now.

Just curious, are you using an extra o2 sensor bung or just using the stock one and feed the ecu with the narrowband output from the ZT-2?
