zdyne nitrous management

i just ordered a zdyne gold w/nos control. Has anyone ever used the nitrous control feature? i know it allows ignition retard when the nitrous is on but does it let you mess with fuel pressure or injector pulse when on the bottle separate from the normal fuel map.

guess i will figure that out in a week

Hardly any of us use naws on here.

I'd like to hear from someone who does. I think it's a good, solid way to make power - most people just don't know anything about it.

Ya im gonna use the nawzz (lol!) to spool up a t3/t04e. i will stop it at about 4k rpm ... at least untill my motor is built.. plus it will cool the intake charge pretty good.

With the right fuel management you can be as fast as a turbo, but whats the fun in that?(no boost bla) I bet its harder to tune tho, and gets expnsive refilling all the time. Well I will know in a month or so.

It was my ASSumption a stock engine on NAAAWWWZZZ would be slower than a properly set up turbo engine. NAAAWWWZZZ runs very hot, you'll slag pistons where a properly tuned turbo would have some longevity.

Now, if you want to run some forgings, I think you could have a really hot setup done pretty simply. The water injection thread in the Forced Induction forum has me wondering, though can't run big boost without something to cool it, might try alky/water injection for NAAAWWWZZZ.

I've been talking to a guy coding NAAAWWWZZZ control for the P30 ECU, you could make it work on any number of OBD1 ECUs. I dunno if he'll charge like Uberteg did, or give it free, or give the code snippets free for whomever knows enough to insert them. He's a good dude, but bloody odd - no telling.

I'm also fiddling with using a few RPM switches to activate/deactivate NO2 flow in OBD0. On NO2 activation, with a car set up for larger injectors, you switch to a second program that has your NO2 fuel/ignition. Instead of doing it all code based, I use external actuators to manipulate the code that will be run. What can I say, I'm a hardware monkey.

running too hot? then dump more fuel in & retard the timing, I dont see why ppl do water injection when good fuel management will do the same thing. h2o injection just loses power.. no good reason for it unless ur too cheap to run a standalone (which most ppl are). same thing with lowering compression.. your just loosing power and cylinder pressure that you will build back with the turbo.

anyway, running a flip chip like that would be cool.. i dont know about tricking the ecu into doing other things by messing with the signals it reads but a good idea none the less. i would rather have it switch to another map if possible, but its prob not practicle.
