Y8 manifold..can you use a Z6 fuel rail on it?

Can it be made to fit the Y8 manifold or does it have to be a Y8 fuel rail for a Y8 IM?

anyone know?

Yes a Y7 will fit. It doesnt ahve the solenoid on it though.

yep, the Y8 rail will fit it. But the Z6 or OBD1 rail will not. I OBD2 has two bolts that hold it on, the OBD1 has 3 bolts.

Plus the fuel pressure regs are different too.

The FPRs are on opposite ends, they are also not interchangeable.
There is a half moon cut out of the Z6 where one of the Y8 mounting studs should go.

Just did the swap a few months back, so I had to do the same thing.

Rememer to get a longer fuel return line as the FPR moves to the passenger side of the rail.

you need a longer line.
a few more thing.
1)flip the stock TB cable bracket upside down and sue one of them bolt to mount.
2)you need a longer FPR to manifold hose.
3)PCV hose needs to be extended.

not sure if it would be the same as any years. Just buy the hose bulk. It is the fuel return line, so it doesn't have any fittings.
