you can try this, but make sure you set timing at dizzy to 12/13 degree and still get it on the dyno to fine tune. it works flawlessly w/ over 200whp on my setup, but never trust someone else's tuned map to be a tuned map on yours.
my setup is:
y7
13t
450cc
y8 intake
jrc fmic

can i use a y8 iacv on the y7 intake manifold? and harness plug on it ? or do i have to switch wires at the ecu too? i should say the car isnt here so i dont sound too retarded
also wondering if i can just use my y8 map with vtec disabled just to get this guy to a tuner, i dont want to touch his engine any more then i have to, kit just trying to help him get going..

you can't mount any iacv to a y7 intake manifold...you have to swap a y8 manual trans intake manifold w/ 2 wire iacv. you will need to move 1 wire in the harness at the ecu.
you can use a y8 basemap w/o vtec enabled...that's basicall what the map i posted is. i've used a p06 basemap tuned for the y7 and the y8 basemap w/o vtec enabled tuned for the y7. both work, but you should keep the mechanical base timing at 12 degree and use the p2p y8 basemap w/ the elevated timing in the map and increase the rest of timing or the p06 basemap w/ the slightly elevated timing and raise the rest as well. both of these options are only as you're tuning. y7 don't like detonation, so tune it on the dyno.

i put as piece of aluminum can between the iacv and IM on my y8 once and set the idle via the screw, worked great until it would randomly just shut off like my car was turned off, ill try it though
