WTF is CEL 24?
 

I'm trying to get my p28 working on my 97 D16y8. As of now, everything is stock except a drop-in and header.
I'm running Crome Pro and while I'm trying to get my wideband setup correctly, I'm getting code 24 through Crome.
I don't know how to check codes manually with an OBD-1 ECU on an OBD-2 car. I didn't have a check engine bulb till today thanks to the bastard that sold me the car.
I'm gonna have to wait a few days to see if something pops up on my OBD2 ecu.

From what I can tell, It comes up randomly. I'll start it up and it'll be there, then I'll turn it off/on and it'll be gone, repeat and it'll be there again.

So does anyone know what CEL 24 is? It's not in the lists I've seen and Crome says "24 - Unknown"

What does that mean though? Is it my bin? ECU? Sensors? ACK!

i dont know how you get codes for crome, i dont use crome pro, datalogging or anything. so is this a solid CEL when you crank it sometimes, and sometimes its fine. or does it just pop on when driving???

I haven't driven the car on this ECU yet. I don't trust these bins. I'm trying to get my wideband working and Crome is telling me my lambda is .65 but Logworks was saying 0.9
I can't get logworks to work anymore though. Either way, this is stopped maybe after reving a little (below 4k). I gotta charge up my laptop and see if it saved the log, maybe I can analyze it somehow.
I don't know If it's solid or w/e. I didn't get my CEL light working till the end of the day. I saw the Crome was giving me a CEL so I pulled out my cluster and there was no bulb (or even holder) for the CEL. The jackass dealer that sold me the car more than likely pulled it out. So ya, I did see it light up solid just b4 I finished for the day. But it doesn't always come up. And I can't tell any difference in operation whether it's on or off. The only thing I ever notice is sometimes when I do a "Get" with my Ostrich, my idle goes crazy, but I just turn the car off/on. I haven't correlated it to the CEL.

all thats over my head, i dont tune, i use crome to make basemaps and stuff, but i would play w/ it some more tomorrow, pull the codes manually from the car. same way as obd1, jump the service connector and watch the flashes.
