Default Won't go into open loop?

I have my Uberdata setup running Scttydb411's map. It ran decent with the closed loop disabled. It runs great with closed loop enabled but the only problem seems to be that the car will not go into open loop at WOT. My A/F gauge should just go full rich when I'm at WOT signifying I'm in open loop. It doesn't do that. I'm wondering why. Maybe a TPS issue? I'm at a loss. Thanks in advance.

disable closed loop. it's tuned slightly on the rich side out of boost, but otherwise good. slight lean spot at 10vac and leaner towards 20vac.

i'm assuming you're running a y7 engine...that's what it's setup for...'00 y7 engine w/ y8 intake manifold.

If I disable closed loop I have to really crank out the idle screw on the TB to get it to idle. This in turn puts my cold idle higher as well and the idle bounces up and down till its warm. Once its warm it idles for crap and lumps pretty bad. Like it has a huge cam. I am going to order a PLX300 WB. I am also going to get another throttle body as I think my TPS is fucked up and thats why it doesn't go into open loop. If it would go into open loop it would run awesome.

I don't think your TPS is the problem. The TPS shouldn't have any affect on open/closed loop. Anything under 15hg's will set the ecu in open loop.

noob question: what are the advantages/disadvantages of running in open loop, opposed to closed?

Trance should I replace the MAP sensor? I have a ton of them. I dont get any CEL's though. I'm getting frusterated. Before I changed to ODB1 it all worked. That's when I changed the TB to the Y8 unit I have now. Its pretty banged up. I had the take off the 3 wire IAC TB and use the 2 wire on the manifold and did the rewire. Any help would be great. I'm almost at the point of buring it to the ground.

Setup is
1996 CX hatch
2000 Y7 engine
1997 Y8 intake
custom manifold
Saab 48/42 T3
DSM 450's
p06 running Uberdata
5" Johnny racecar FMIC
1G DSM BOV

what? throttle position throws the ecu into open loop. take any veh w/ the hack and part throttle boost and it'll stay 14.7 even at 6psi if you are below the threshold. take that same car and hit 75% throttle and it'll jump rich into open loop. unless i'm missing something i've never seen a honda do any differently. if it was map dependent there would be no reason to have any advanced management.

closed loop your car will hunt and try to hit the stoich afr (14.7) until you hit a certain throttle position. if you have a standalone and disable closed loop you have total control over the fuel maps and how much fuel you want to be added at a given rpm and boost/vac. you also have control over the throttle enrichment too.

you have almost the exact setup i have:
2000 y7
y8 intake
std manifold and adapterplate
td04L
dsm 450
p06-uberdata'd
starion fmic
1g dsm bov

it goes to show that even with the same setup that cars behave differently.

where is your primary o2 positioned? i have mine in the manifold as apposed to the end of the dp. i noticed when i tried to position it downstream the car ran shitty until it really warmed up and i drove it for a while.
