Willem Eprom Burner ?'s

I bought a new a Willem Eprom Burner and I can't get it to work. Everytime I try to read/write/erase a chip it says Hardware Error: Check power & connection. I have tried it on two different computer and it gives me the same error message. Is there something you have to change on your control panel or anything/ or special drivers you need to install. I have tried reinstalling the Eprom software many times and still get the same error. The burner is brand new and all three LED lights are on. Any help would be great

There is was a great write-up that projekteg did a while ago.

go to google and search site:www.homemadeturbo.com and "willem how-to" or something like that.

edit: It must be a holiday. Happy VD. The pics are broke but there are links in there, and there is even a write-up on Xemocrons site about the burner with workin pics.

Have you tried changing the dip switch settings that correspond to the chip? When you change eeprom types in the software, it gives you a diagram to set them at. Mine gives me errors if they're not set right.

Note: the LPT port of your PC needs to be set to ECP or ECP+EPP in the BIOS setup
