I ordered my Willem yesterday. Wonder how long shipping from Hong Kong will take.

I got mine from Hond Kong too. Someone on here said 6 days, but mine took a little longer than that.

Re: willem (enhanced/dual power) burner how to! *56k/dsl=fucked!*

----... I finally got this working. I was using Kevins instructions and, 1) could not ID the chip and, 2) kept getting an error when I tried to burn a chip "Error: write sector 0" :-\

I'm using a newer Willem dual burner and an AT29C256 chip.

After some playing around, I figured out that I had my jumper in the wrong place (3 & 30, not 3 & 31), duuuuh. When I changed it, it didn't make a bit of difference!!! :'(

I checked the UD forums and someone suggested using the PCB3 option instead of Willem and also scrapping the jumper wire. So I did, and it works! I thought I would post this in case this something with newer burners or newer versions of the Willem software??? I tried it with the 097g & 097ja too. ja was kind of weird, so I'm gonna stick with version g. I HAVE NOT TRIED IT IN MY CAR YET, BUT WILL SOON... :-*\

By the way, the "willem" settings seem to work as well, but you have to make sure which switches are on and which are off, because on screen is backwards than the actual board.

So far, so good.

have you tried both jumpers? when i first got mine i didnt know about them and i was about to sell it because i was frustrated. asked a few detailed questions, got answers and found out its a very simple tool to use.

i followed this write up to the T. didnt work.

i did what 95redEX said about the PCB3 option and it worked. still no ID of the chip but it does everything else

27sf512's are trickier than the atmels with the willem. it's possbible you have a bad programmer, because i have never (even when i first got mine and didn't know how to use it) had a problem with the atmels.
