Which Willem to buy? advice appreciated!
 

I'm going to buy a chip burner and see these willem's your talking about, just wanted to know which one to get, the dual power or the enhanced? theres only like a 10 dollar difference so i dond really give a ---- but i want to know which one you are using or recomend, thanks

Save the headache and buy a Moates. www.------------- sell the Moates Burn 1. Get that and be happy.

Willem ALWAYS give problems. Any GIven day there is like 3 posts "My Willem wont burn" Bad Chip or Bad Burner? and so on.

I threw mine out and bought a Moates!!!!

The willems is a good unit just not user friendly. It has jumpers and ---- you have to move and add and is sometimes picky. The Moates is easy to use and no jumpers. Everything is done through software.

Yeah but i'm on a tight budget, and if I can save $40 on a chip burner that can acomplish the same job i'll do it. I'm not afraid to learn how to use it, i just want to know wich willem to buy, the dual power or the enhanced. thanks for the advice tho

IMO its not worth the 40 bucks you save. I went from a willem to a moates and I'd definately never use a willem ever again.

I don't understand why people can't get this. I start Wileem and will NEVER go back. It's worth the 40.00!!!!!!!!

I start Willem and will never go back? i dont get what ur trying to say, u like it? anyway i dont care if you like them or not i just want to know wich one to buy, or does it not matter, they will both burn AT29C256 chips but which one is better the dual power or the enhanced????

I meant, I started with a Willem and I will NEVER buy another. It was a big pain in the ass!!. Left me stranded numerous times!!!! No chip, Solid CELs have to be somewhere in 10min so you sit there cursing, changing power supply voltages and the FINALLY it works but you dont know why!!

Moates is the way togo, plug it in, burn your chip and walk away with no headaches.

Just takes a bit to get setup but then ur good to go. once u catch the hang of it, its no problem at all

I've had a willem for like 3 years now.

just get the dual power that says like 29c256 in the title, they work great, and they're cheap.

its the initial configuration everyone has a hard time with... I advise reading the pdf's on the included cd carefully and gettin it right the first time...you shouldnt have too much trouble as long as you have an eye for detail.

the burn 1 is nice too, pay a lil more and get extreme ease of use.
