Will these injectors work? RX7 => ACCORD

I bought a set of 1989 RX-7 saturated injectors rated at 450-550cc i believe.

Will these injectors work with the F23A4 2000 Accord?

Im running some sort of rx7 injectors in my setup, and i think they are 460cc if i remeber correctly. I did a search of honda tech (gasp) and actually came up with good answers :o. there was good info on part numbers and top colors that refered to what size they are, and what seals were used to make them work. They used them in a b series, i used them in a d, so i can only *assume* they would be fine for your f. good luck.

thanks for that note!

I wanted to make sure if they fit because I am deciding whether or not to go with my stock injectors along with an FMU OR use the RX7 injectors with an AFC.

This is for 7psi with a T3.

oh yeah...i'm wondering if you had to change any seals for them to work for you

if you look in the tech projects here (sidebar on the left) youll find an article on installing dsm injectors. I saw the part numbers for some seals there and found out they worked great for me in a y8 manifold i had and for the rx7 injectors to fit with a little dremeling. BTW, the seals are from napa, the part #s are in one of the pics, and they are sold as 1 set is for 1 injector, so you need 4 boxes. They are kinda pricey, but it takes the headache out of leaking and/or not fitting. Just remeber, grind a little, check it and grind more if needed, dont over do it because you cant make the hole smaller, only bigger. Basically, if you follow that write up, you cant ---- up.

Also, dont go fmu, they suck. Use the rx7s and youll be ok. if they are the 460s, youll be ok using a basemap that was for dsm injectors. Thats what i did to start off.

EDIT: you might want to find out if those injector seals will work on the F. Im pretty sure it will, but I havent fucked with anything but D's and very few B's. Good luck

Definately opt for the rx7 injectors with afc before the fmu. What are emissions like in your area? If there's ways around it, you could always run crome or uber and be even better off. (you'd have to convert to obd1 first though)

thanks for all the replies. it was very helpful.
i just need to find out how much the seals costs. as for the dremelling....did u dremel the injectors or what?

i don't think i'm going to use an fmu or afc anymore. seems like obd2 conversion plus chipping is the way to go. i heard that the whole process is less than 300 dollars! not sure if thats true but i hope so.

Re: Will these injectors work? RX7 => ACCORD

For the injector seals, first just check and see if you can just pop them in. Some people, with dsm 450s for example, can just muscle them into the stock seals.

Otherwise, if the injectors are too big, yeah you just take a dremel and bore out the inside just a little. Just remember when doing that, you can take more material out, put you can't put it back on (but you can buy another seal....).

i think i'm going to pair these injectors with greddy e-manage.
trying to see which method is cheaper.
obd conversion + chip or emanage
