Will a bad fuel pressure solenoid throw a code 43? ( OBD0 )

I've been throwing a code 43 (fuel supply system). It's stumbling under constant load, it goes through gas like nothing, it bogs below 2-2.5k rpm, and it has a rough idle. It will bog for a second under warm startup. I don't think it's the injectors, fuel pressure, or the o2 sensor.

This code has gone away and come back repeatedly. I've reset my ecu, and I've replaced my fuel pressure regulator. Does the fuel pressure solenoid have its own code? This is an obd0 car. (91 ls)

I can't wait to firebomb my car when I get another DA that has less than 100k miles on it.
Having over 260k miles on a DD sucks ass.

did this happen gradually or just start one day?

it happened gradually. i had the problem for months, but the CEL didn't come on until about a month or two ago.

it was running rich as hell, and now it seems like it's running less rich since it started stumbling. translation: i can't really smell raw fuel anymore. ehh, maybe i got used to the smell. i dunno.

according to my butt dyno, there's a big dip in power at about 4.5k. if it's revved any more, it will start to stumble. i know you're not supposed to go into upper rpms with a fuel issue, but i'm getting a new car soon. i can't wait to put it in 3rd, throw a cinder block on the gas, and let it maximum overdrive into a tree.

what the ---- is the fuel pressure solenoid? timing? compression? need more info.

from my experience compressionm, timing, and the throttle body have cause my cars to bog. running rich with obviously cause it to bog aswell. if any timing components are damaged or not with spec can cause it to go lean.

as far as running rich, it could be tps, coolant temp, o2, leaking injectors, or ecu, they could be dying.

a fuel regulator solenoid is what your fuel pressure regulator is connected to with a vacuum line.

i thought it might be my injectors, but aren't there seperate codes for each one of the injectors? all i'm getting is a 43. could the problem be my injectors without them throwing a code? i haven't done a compression test. i'm sure it sucks. can a low compression block make it run rich? i'm not sure of my timing, but i think it's a bit advanced. :8

?? the FPR is connected directly to the rail on civic's. no, if your injectors throw a code it's for one or more of them. I'm pretty sure there isn't a seperate code. that would be sick! it's possible for things to be dying without throwing a code. the injectors could be leaking which you would have to have them flow tested or simulate a flow test, i think. I'm pretty sure compression won't affect a/f. I know timing will.

so it it kinda bog and stumbles at various rpms? whens the last time you had a tuneup? do a compression test. any smoke out the tail pipe?

I say get some newer injectors and reset the ecu
