Wideband Recommendations
I'm needing a new wideband. I haven't bought one for 3+ years. Looks like PLX makes some decent ones at a reasonable price. What are you all using? Thx

Re: Wideband Recommendations
If I was to buy another wb, prolly be a PLX M-300TE, Ive had no probs with my orignal m-300

Re: Wideband Recommendations
I know the PLX has a liner output. What about the Innovate? What makes the tuner edition a "tuner edition"? Doesn't say much on either of the two websites...

Re: Wideband Recommendations
as far as the m300 Tuner edition, basicly the switch on it is for 8 different lambda settings, Gas, Ethanol, Diesel, Methanol, CNG, LPG. etc etc

Re: Wideband Recommendations
Cool, ya I gathered that. I'm only using gasoline so I won't be able to make use of that option. Does anyone know if the innovate has a linear output? I use Freelog when datalogging 02 and its much easier to calibrate with a slope and base. Thx

Re: Wideband Recommendations
Innovate has TWO programmable linear outputs.
|
Re: Wideband Recommendations
The JAW also has two programmable outputs and allows you to create linear or non-linear outputs, giving it more flexibility in that respect than anything else on the market.
I really need to hook it up in tandem with my PLX and LC-1 on the same car, log via my USB-6009. |
Re: Wideband Recommendations
LC-1 was too picky and i constantly had issues with it. Running the PLX now and never had a problem. Works like a charm.

Re: Wideband Recommendations
I run the exact same LC-1 setup that Chris posted up the link for, and they work fantastic in both my WRX and Evo 8. It also has one of the faster sampling rates out there that is able to keep up with the obd2 MUTIII protocol sampling rate on my Evo, and the replacement sensors are dirt cheap from the local autoparts store (look for the front o2 for a 2002 VW turbo beetle ;) ). As long as it's installed and calibrated properly you really can't beat it.

Which has nothing to do with the finicky nature of the Innovate line, and their constantly requiring recalibration once they are removed from an ideal laboratory environment.
I like them and can work around them, for the most part, but it is the truth. |
