Wideband placement
Can I put my wide band in my stock dsm O2 sensor location, untill I get a bung? Will that ---- up readings? I know its bad for the sensor. Opinions?

Re: Wideband placement
from my LC-1 install guide (www.lukekailburn.com)
"On TURBO CHARGED vehicles: Install the bung downstream from the turbo before the catalytic converter. The high exhaust pressure before the turbo interferes with the lambda measurement and the high exhaust temperatures encountered there can damage the sensor." Do NOT install the Bung below the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position. Condensation can form in the exhaust pipe and permanently damage the sensor. 6 oclock is the absolute worst position to mount the sensor." -Luke |
Re: Wideband placement
also, is it gonna matter if my turbo is blowing a bit of oil?

Re: Wideband placement
I would think so!

Re: Wideband placement

Re: Wideband placement
im sure it does not HELP the wideband sensor but i have never heard of it causing major issues.
-Luke p.s. - get a restrictor so you stop spittin oil :y |
Re: Wideband placement
restrictor isn't tha issue right now, the turbo is about done. its whining and makin weird noises in boost, so i'm just gonna upgrade to a 14b here soon.
