Wideband o2 type?
Hi guy's, I've been looking into picking up my own wideband meter and O2. Actually I've decided on the PLX devices M300. It does not come with a sensor, but supports the bosch LSU4 wideband sensor. I think I've also found an LSU4 sensor, but it has 5 wires. Do all LSU4 sensors have 5 wires?

Re:Wideband o2 type?
First off, the PLX m-300 *SHOULD* come with a sensor. If it doesn't, you're being ripped off. An "unopened" kit will come with a Bosch LSU4. Yes, the LSU4 has 5 wires, as do all "wide-band" oxygen sensors.
For a GREAT deal from a great guy, call Forced Air Performance, and and ask for Jayson. Tell him I told you to call him about a PLX.. He'll treat you right. 877-367-2332 - Forced Air Performance. |

Thanks Ef9, I'll probably give him a try again. I tried a while back but never ended up going through with it.

Re:Wideband o2 type?
Yeah actually I guess it does come with a sensor. Ah well, maybe I'll pick up a spare also. I've heard these LSU4's tend to loose their calibration or accuracy after a while unlike the NTK sensors. :-\

Re:Wideband o2 type?
All sensors degrade after hours of tuning. You just need to wait for it to cool off, then you're good to go again.
Recalibrating the sensors doesn't really help, as they continue to degrade the more you use them. So far, my LSU4 has remained accurate up to an hour of driving around on it (I installed it in my car as my only O2). |
Re:Wideband o2 type?
Hmmm, thats cool. See I didn't know that once they cool down they will be fine again. Your being very helpful tonight Ef9 ;D

Re:Wideband o2 type?
Anyone found a good price on the Bosch sensor? I have heard rumors of $30-$60...where, who, how?
Thinking of picking up a spare to tune others... |

Thinking of picking up a spare to tune others... You shouldnt keep a wideband sensor in the exhaust piping without the controller attached and vice versa.. this can damage a WB O2. |
