Re:wideband logger

So, would this work? Say I use my techedge 2.0 to log my exact map sensor voltages, and my exact RPM's at the ECU itself? By tapping into the ECU Harness itself, shouldn't I get the same values that the ECU sees? then from there, Use excel to Plot RPM on the Y Axis, and MAP readings into the same readings as my standalone program? from there I could overlay the WBo2's readings based on those other 2 factors? or is the ECU Pins/Harness method also going to produce inaccurate readings?

Re:wideband logger

Well the problem is the ECU uses its own set of analog to Digital converters, this is a circiut to convert a voltage to a digital binary number the ecu can process. Your external datalogger to the stock ECU or even the same ECU over time should show a change in this conversion because the electrical components in the AD converter differences or changes. So even though your datalogger is most likely more accurate, it dosent matter because the ecu is making decisions on what it think it sees, which may or may not be reality.

Since when does an ecu think, i would hate for it to outsmart me, that would suck....

sorry, had to, im bored... But this is very interesting.... I have my ideas, but since im in no way a programmer, i dont want to make myself look like an idiot....
