in other words, its still in its infancy and who knows how long it will be before its as user friendly as the commerical products. if you have the balls to learn you can do it the manual way, by splicing in and editing the values directly. all can be found at www.pgmfi.org if you so dare to dive in

Here is the "error" I'm seeing when I open the ghettodyne program

"component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing ot invalid"

I put the "fix" file called "setup.bat" in the same folder as the rest of the ghettodyne files and double clicked it, but it didn't fix the problem I guess.

BTW: TurboEF9, this was in my first post "Sounds like it could be pretty dangrous to the average dumbass like me that can't even figure out how to get the software to open up...
", sound like I am blaming my self.. My brother can't even understand how turbos work, yet he is a computer pimp, I'm the exsact flip mode of that.

The frustrating part of this whole thing is that if you go to www.GhettoDyne.com, click on the help menu and click on "errors" your error is the very first one listed. This has not so much to do with computer savy as it does pure laziness.

..then how come you haven't gotten your OCXs registered correctly? They're all there in the GhD directory when it's unarchived. Hrm.. pimp.

I am a computer geek and I kept getting the same error even after the fix listed on the website. I had to run it in the 'Compatibility' mode that WinXP offers. To do so:

Right click on the shortcut on the start menu and choose 'properties'.
Next select the Compatibility tab at the top. In the middle of the window, it will have a checkbox for running in Compatibility mode. Select this and choose Win2000. Click OK at the bottom and now start the application by selecting the shortcut you just modified. It should work now, hopefully.
