Re:why do i need a resistor on fuel injectors
certain years of production in a honda/acura the ecu used a certain voltage to fire the injectors. nowadays they changed the injector style which has a different voltage. now here where you gotta pay attention: you are trying to put different injectors on your car that the factory originally intended(from an older or different car), now you have to get a resistor to step down the voltage from the computer(ecu) to the injector. get 10watt,10ohm from radioshack. and put them on the yellow and black wire.

or you could just buy one of a old DSM or early honda off EBAY right?
now if you get the injectors with resistor a SAFC is still neccessary? or don't you need one without the other? |
Re:why do i need a resistor on fuel injectors
the resistors(or resistor box) just makes it so that you can use the injectors correctly. the afc allows you to lean out your fuel so that the injectors wont be making your car run rich as a mothafucker spittin out black smoke everywhere from your exhaust. anyways, you can use the resistors like kine said, or if you have an obd0 car with a resistor box already there you can use that.
