Why buy missing link when...

Why buy missing link for xy US$ when you can buld FCD (fuel cut defencer) for under 5US$ !!

I've built this for my Honda... as will soon put turbo on it. At first thought about missing link, etc... but - why buy that pricy piece of metal when you can build this for under 5US$ (that's what it costed me).
What it does? It has same output as input until it reaches voltage you set by trimmer (3.0V here), and after that even if input is 5V, output is 3V... result same as with missing link - but this is done electrical way and waaaay cheaper. Only thing I still need is to put it in some kind of a box :)

Oh, right... schematics can be found at: http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/articles/fcd/diy_fcd.htm

Only difference on my pic is I used 7805 for reference voltage (stable 5V output).

fuel cut defencer = voltage clamp

Nothing new...why not LET the ECU see boost and compensate? Much better solution.
