Why is the afc hack bad for low boost applications?

Im seeing some of you guys saying this and I dont understand why.
I get the impression people are saying the timing is most advanced in the lower psi range (4-7psi)...
is this because we are assuming rpm and boost are climbing together and at boost X and rpm Y the -40% map signal causes more advanced timing than at boost level X+B read at -40%? and that is just how the ignition curve looks and there's nothing we can do about it?
im trying to make sense here... i will edit later (non sober post)

That sounds as close to it as it could be. :)

hmm, yeah im definetly gonna need some chip action.
I dont really want to buy that uberchip stuff because I suspect its something he stole from a pgmfi board I lurk on.
:-\

You sound like you have a pretty good grasp of what the AFC hack is doing... look at the ignition maps I posted in the sticky AFC hack thread at the top of this forum, and see the difference. That should help you wrap your mind around it.

As far as Uberchips goes, Blake got a few memory locations from Doc for the P75 code dump. Everything he coded, he coded himself, and nothing was stolen.

He's OBD1 Forum moderator on PGMFI, FYI.

oh ok ;D
he must use a different name on that board then.
Ive been lurking on there for a year or so now, rarely posting... ive been too busy with school to get very involved.

Thats good to know, because I remember a demo he posted on the board there which looked EXACTLY like ubertegs prog on hondatech (which I now know is him..).

Uberteg still has an account on a forum somewhere? I think he has been banned from everywhere. :( I still can't figure out why he keeps getting banned. :-\

My boy, and I do love him dearly, gets banned because he is a total jackass to people.

I'd like to see him get unbanned from the various boards he's been kicked off of, but I know that suggestion is like offering forum mods/owners a bag full of dicks. Jeff probably won't do it, Arturbo on HT won't, and Haberdasher on G2IC won't. I offer no criticism of Jeff or Art for their actions, an inbox full of complaints takes all the fun out of cars.

??? I guess I never had the chance to chat with him to realize that. ??? I never read anything bad that he said anywhere. Its also kinda funny that all kinds of people would still flock all over the "Uberchip" even after he was banned for, I guess being a dick.
