who has used an uberdata basemap and driven on it for a long period of time?

just curious who has used an uberdata basemap and driven on it for a long period of time? anyone use one from projekteg? anyone with a b16? just curious about to get one from him and wanted to know what people experienced as far as drivability with the basemaps and how your car ran with it.

i drive around on projektegs basemap's all the time :D but it just so happens that i have 'tuned' maps for the b16, since that's what engine i have ;)

I haven't tried uberbata, done it with TE and I think a basemap is basemap as long as you don't go crasy with it you should be fine till you tune it. projekTeg is well known on this board, you shouldn't be worry too much about it.
Ps: don't expect too much from a basemap till you get it tune, at least street tune.

You should tune... I drove on a basemap for 3 months, nothing over 5 psi.

Re: who has used an uberdata basemap and driven on it for a long period of time?

I logged a basemap from ProjekTeg and I got a very nice A/F ratio. I think it dropped down to around ~10.5:1 in some spots and at most it jumped to ~12.5:1, but I had a horrible spiking problem at that time. I also had a little bit of a timing problem( :P), but got that figured out later on. ;)

Of course it's always a good idea to tune for your setup since every motor is different.

i was boosting 15 psi on my stock b16 with just a basemap, no tuning at all, for almost 5 mos. i don't reccomend it, but if you don't give a ----, you can always try :)

I've been running on BBKA's track tune map for about two months now... I know it's not exactly a base map but it's not tuned for my car so same same...

It feels fine, and I am going to have to live with it for a few more weeks until I can afford a wideband... I'm not too worried though, my setup is similar to BBKA's, same turbo and engine at least...

I need to get a wideband and see where I'm at... I just wish they weren't so freakin expensive! >:(

Do you set your timing to stock and then retard it in UberData?

you don't "retard" timing with uberdata. it retards it automatically under boost..
