where are the ecu fuses or fuses that will keep the ecu from turning on?
I dont think my ecu ive put in the car are working because i'm missing or blow an ecu fuse. I checked the one in the engine bay. Is there one under the dash? The ecu works fine in my del sol.
When I turn on the car, it cranks, but i dont get any fuel. I dont get an CEL even when i jump the service connector. It seems to me that my ECU is not getting power, but I'm open to other ideas. The car is a 97 teg Thanks, Nick |
Re: where are the ecu fuses or fuses that will keep the ecu from turning on?
yea drivers side kick panel, i dont know if its going to be the same as my buddies 95 gsr, but the hazard fuse resets the ecu so im going to as you this
do your hazard lights work? O0 |
Re: where are the ecu fuses or fuses that will keep the ecu from turning on?
I know on most cars it is in the fuse box right by the battery. I am prerry sure it says ECU on it.

yea uhh he said he checked the one in the engine compartment lol ::) |

hmmmm, any blow fuses at the kick panel? try a volt meter at the ecu? dissconnect the battery and check for resistance (ohms) you might have a short to ground on some important wire ect ect no resistance (dead short)= o ohms

Re: where are the ecu fuses or fuses that will keep the ecu from turning on?
i would check the one in the car. is there a different fuse under the hood for the ecu becuase the hazard doesn't stop it from starting or driving it is like the memory wire for the ecu

yea thats what im saying yo O0

very far back right side fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.

Is the thermostat ground bolted down?
|
Re: where are the ecu fuses or fuses that will keep the ecu from turning on?
yea it its, all grounds are clear. I check the grounds at the ecu level on connector 1. I'm about to try and check for a short as mentioned above.

test the ecu in another car to eliminate as a factor.

seriously can you read today? ::) he said it works in his del sol

im not just keeping you updated. how can you help someone if you dont pay attention to the problem they are expressing?

Re: where are the ecu fuses or fuses that will keep the ecu from turning on?
Where is the ECU from in the first place? and the ecu worked in a Del Sol...and its out of a 97 teg? So question is..is it a del sol ecu or an integra ecu? What year would the del sol be? You said you don't get fuel...how bout spark? If you get spark...see what starting fluid does..should at least run for a second or so- You might want to check your main relay.

Re: where are the ecu fuses or fuses that will keep the ecu from turning on?
The underhood hazard fuse only supplies power for DTC memory, it is not the main ECU power.
Fookle's suggestion is probably correct as to which fuse underdash you need to look at. Glad you checked G101, pass go + collect $200. The gentleman above me said the magic words "main relay." Pop that bitch open and look for cracks around the big soldered pins. Reflowing that with a LARGE soldering iron/gun should fix it right up. |
