what should i use????
 
i'm planning on put a turbo on my 89 chevy 1/2 ton 350 ,but don't know what to use for engine management? its has tbi on it so i don't know if i can do this. any help would be GREAT! thanks

I've heard of people running modded GM ECU's with boost. There was a guy on here that knew all about it, sean88Accord or something like that.....

There is DIY engine management for GM as well.Do some reading on http://www.turbomustangs.com/ there is a GM section as well as a Fbody site and cant remember right now that has a ton of info.

Search the classifieds section. You will probably have to register to search the archives. It's just like most forums, Search first before you post.

BTW, I think that as long as you don't go crazy with a huge cam and you run low boost like 4-8 lbs then you should be able to do this. The TBI systems are not not nearly as responsive as MPFI. Modding the GM ECMs is pretty easy to do. There's not even any soldering involved, simply plug and play.

You will be burning chips, just like the OBD-I honda guys.

There are a couple progs out there. All the links are in this thread. thirdgen is a great site for learning the stuff.
