What should i do, lean it out?

Well, here i am again, trying to figure out the best thing to do with my settings on teh vafc, and trying to get better gas mileage.

Throttle settings are 98 and 99%, i leaned the narrow throttle out to -40% to -36% from idle to topend, and kept the high throttle at -33% all the way across. Now, when it first starts up, i can cruise rather nicely, no missing, and the a/f gauge bounces nicely from stoich to rich, car runs smooth. As it warms up, the bouncing starts to level out at a high stoich reading, and the car starts to miss hardcore when cruising, i have to constantly give it gas to smooth it out. It gradually goes fully rich on teh meter, and the motor eventually calms down and cruises fine again, but it reads fully rich. Now, i know these a/f gauges are unaccurate, but it gives me an idea. What can i do to get that stock bounce, from lean to rich, when crusing, to save gas mileage. Oh, and it reads fully rich when accelerating too, but that doesnt bother me right now, need to install teh msd btm, so i keeps me from detonating anywyas. THanx...

a/f guages are ---- they should read full rich when in boost or you will soon be needing a new engine

I dont' think he's boosting, just trying to save on gas. ::)

well, spenser, your half right, the gauge reads full rich when boosting, its just when its at cruising speeds and such when i want it to read stoich, and not full rich like it does. When its warming up, i find it will miss a whole shitload until my check engine light comes on, tehn it runs fine, and i just turn the car off then back on, and it runs fine with no check engine light. I dunno, just weird and annoying.
