what injectors?

im building a kit for my d15, i plan on running around 5.5-6.5 psi. for engine managment ive chosen a v-afc and was wondering if anyone has any injector recomendations? also, is it neccecary to get something to retard ignition timing on this low of boost?

Re: what injectors?

if i chipped my ecu why would i need bigger injectors? its 6psi!
i chose the v-afc because i already have it and ive been told by lots of credible people that its perfectly fine for anything under 10psi.
does anyone have any real experience with this setup?

Re: what injectors?

you need bigger injectors for boost. no matter what management you have.
go with the dsm's or what ever you can find cheap 390's would prolly work for you.
v-afc is shitty, it only tunes fuel.
a chipped ecu would do so much more for you, for less money too.
sell that vafc and get your ecu chipped and have money left over.

and quit acting like you only wanna run 5-6 psi :P

You need to read the engine management faq (again). Saying the vafc is fine under 10 psi isn't a solid argument. You NEED larger injectors with a vafc. That's how it works.

The vafc essentially advances your ignition timing with more boost, which is exactly the opposite of what you want to do. Some people set a base retard at their distributor to accomodate for this, but it doesn't, it only helps a small bit and your entire ignition map is retarded.

Sell your vafc and get a chipped ecu. It allows you to control your larger injectors (like the vafc, but more precise) AND it lets you control timing to any degree you want, and retard a specific amount under a certain boost level. Someone said running anything else on a Honda is stupid, and I completely agree. Do you know how lucky we are to have such a cheap fully tuneable engine management system? Subaru, GM, Nissan guys would kill for something this cheap. Take advantage of it.

Re: what injectors?

as they all told you. they are more experiance than me and you

450 injectors and chip ecu

you will ask whyyy i have vafc. i will answer you and say what will controll your timming.
the safc and vafc not control your timming. and its conseder very important point to safe your engine
