Well...if you have an external tranny control unit...you can chip your ECU and it should work. A few have done it that I know. Personally, I have seen an auto setup with a chipped ECU yet...

If anyone local to me has one I would love to help you out for a reduced rate (to learn)

i mean im not local or anything but if you got a auto po6 over there i mean we can just ship back and forth. pmme so we can talk about the rates and things like that. i think the 92-95 might be externally controled. i can find out from my buddy at the tranny shop. well i just need to control dsm 390s, timing, and stuff like that. i wanna boost about 10psi just to see how this thing will hold up. i mean its only a d series. please let me know whassup

yes its external. I have used 5 spd ecu's in auto's it works but the car wont shift gears by itself you have to do it. This is where the external unit to control the trans comes into play

You have to use an AUTO P75 ecu. The P06 won't work with an external controlled tranny box. The P75 is designed for it. So if you wanna run anything auto, the AUTO P75 is what you want.

Correct, the 1980 boards don't the circuitry for controlling the trans shift solenoids. They only have spots for IC13 and IC14 for VTEC. The other boards have two additional 5050's for controlling the tranny.
