What is the deal with timing in Ghettodyne?

Anyone know what the deal is with the timing feature in Ghettodyne? I can't enter more than 40 degrees without getting a warning and then it defaults to 49 degrees. Any ideas?

Mike wrote in a bounds check for what he thought would be the maximum anyone would need.

Due to the 8-bit math limitation of OBD0 microcontrollers, the useable range is 0x00 0xFF. This translates into minimum retard of -5.4, and a maximum advance of 86.4... but who is *really* going to advance that much.

I have TE can't make it work right. I have burned 10-12 chips with Ghettodyne without a single problem. Turbo Edit keeps giving me errors so I went with the one that worked.

ghettodyne. heh. ok then. If you want to continue to use old buggy software (and kinda be a dickhead about it) then deal with the bugs. (biotch)

If instead you want to embrace the new software than Jason and myself have put a lot of time into, you'll receive answers to your questions as best as we can. You'll receive updates when updates are safe to share. You'll receive the satisfaction of knowing that the engine management that runs your car runs the people who wrote it's cars.

As I've said before elsewhere, ghettodyne was a great piece of software for its time, but unfortunately that time has passed. The choice is yours.
