okay i have JDM b16a1 and a JDM p30 ecu, this past weekend i tried to top out my car on the interstate and believe or not it will go up to only 115 MPH then the car just stops going, as if i let go of the gas. is this suppose to happen espically on a JDM ecu? i just might as well convert it from OBD0 to OBD1 i guess.

lots of jdm ecm's have speed limiter on them.

So take 20 minutes and chip it. Problem solved there Speed Racer. Slow down anyway, I couldn't give 2 ***** if you kill yourself but there other people on the road.

haha funny...don't worry about it. i make sure there's no one driving on the road before i try to speed like ----, and plus it's like 1 am in the morning so there's like no one but me and my friends behind me speeding with me. anywayz i'm not gonna chip this ecu i'm just gonna get the p28 and chip that one.

Ya, speed limit on a P30 is 115..

You can disable it at memory address 0x6013, change FF to 00, recalculate your checksum, save it at 0x7FFF, and wa-la, no more speed limiter.

PR3 ecu is also limited at 115mph isn't it?

I've also heard JDM ecu's are a bitch to chip.
