washing cylinders

now that i am getting closer to actually hooking up my hmt kit i had a few concerns. i hear that if i run to rich with uberdata or any ecu mod that i can wash the cylinders of their oil. how rich is to rich. i was thinking 11.5 afr with conservative timing(like .75 degrees per psi). any info would be great. also what happens if cylinders are washed of their oil?

Thanks

Re: washing cylinders

it takes alot of fuel to wash out the cylinder rings.

11.5 is fine. To be dumb enough to reach enough fuel to cause those sort of problems, you'd have to wear a helmet 24/7

Generally, your car won't start if you have enough gas to wash... plus, if your rings are solid, you'll be ok.
